San Gimignano, A Jewel of Tuscany

In just a few days time, I will be traveling again to Europe, one of my favorite places to be. On each trip I have taken to Europe, no matter which specific country, I have been overwhelmed by its history, beauty, and, of course, the photo opportunities. A little over a year ago, I was in the beautiful region of Tuscany and ready to embark on a Tuscan tour I had booked. I recall speaking to world renowned event planner,Jill Lafleur, at the Sylvie Gil Workshop, and she mentioned that I have to visit the beautiful town of San Gimignano. Despite my trouble saying its name, I was persuaded to go. Fortunately for me, it was included in the tour! Upon arriving in Tuscany, I could see San Gimignano in the distance and it looked enchanting. We finally arrived in town and its charm pervaded every nook and cranny. Narrow streets, little shops, Italian couples zooming by on Vespas, clothing hung up to dry outside small balconies – everything you would imagine a small Tuscan town to be. Not to mention the world’s most famous gelato shop. Its claim to fame is the recent visit by President and First Lady Obama. Take my advice: Grab a gelato and find your way to the highest point in town to take in the breathtaking views. I loved photographing here and hope the photos do San Gimignano justice. Here are a few of my favorite images. As always, I hope you enjoy them!

Did you go to Gelateria Dondoli (aka Gelateria di Piazza)?

Also, the best restaurant there is La Vecchie Mura!

These photos rock and really take me back!
