It has always been a desire of mine to visit Lake Como, Italy. Seeing it in movies and photographs led me to include it to my must visit list. Last year, while attending a workshop in France, I decided to make the most of my time in Europe and planned a multi-city tour; 12 cities, 7 countries, with Lake Como being my final stop. I figured it would be the perfect place to relax and end my trip, seeing as how I had been traveling non-stop for 6 weeks. After arriving at the Como train station and walking to the ferry, I was immediately in awe. It was truly everything I had imagined and more. The green of the mountains and the blue of the lake were so vivid. I did a lot of research and even contacted another photographer/friend of mine, Johnny Patience, whose travel and blog post about his trip to Lake Como helped me find all the right spots. I visited the 3 major towns to see: Bellagio, Mennagio, and Varenna. Each place was as charming as the other, but each with it’s own flavor. Lake Como certainly has a place in my heart and I will surely visit again. As always, I hope you enjoy the photos!
